Launching Pixable for the iPhone: Smart photo aggregation and discovery on the go!

Today, we are about to make your iPhone (or iPod touch) a lot happier. That’s right, we’re releasing Pixable for the iPhone. We’re extremely excited about this launch as we will be enabling users to keep up to date with the photos they care about on the go.

While our Facebook and iPad apps provide an elegant and fun way to browse and discover photos, we realized that sometimes you just don’t have the time to sit down for a photo browsing sesh. Today’s world is mobile and fast. It’s about receiving and sharing information quickly and efficiently. This is something we took into account when designing Pixable for the iPhone; we focused on allowing you to get in, get out, and get on with your life.

Pixable for the iPhone keeps you up to date with only the photos you care about. Follow your closest Facebook friends and get notifications directly on your iPhone when they are tagged or upload new photos or flip through the “Top Photos of the Day” category and see the photos that everyone is talking about.

The same WonderRank technology is applied, analyzing dozens of variables associated with your Facebook account, to act as a personal “photobot” scouring Facebook for the photos that you will find most interesting. Additionally, as in the iPad, you can quickly browse through the most interesting photos in your feed by swiping from left to right, but also dig into the album by swiping up.

Look forward to an app that’s so intelligent, addictive, and fun that you’ll never want to view photos another way. Download it here.
